Joe and I drank coffee in the kitchen for a bit before he went downstairs to record. Strand of Oaks was doing his thing below, and while that was happening, Joe shared with me about his extensive touring experience with various bands as well as a recent encounter with one of Ohio's best known drummers at a local watering hole back home in Akron. He had a late night in Milwaukee before coming to Chicago, but seemed happy to hang out and regroup (and drink lots of hot water with honey) before his session with us, and also before the house show he was slated to play later that evening.
