Tim and Jeb are two pillars in the Chicago experimental music scene (and beyond). I had seen them perform numerous times over the past few years at Elastic, the Hideout, etc., however never in the same outfit. We invited Tim to put together any group he'd like to record a session with us. When him and Jeb showed up we gave them some coffee and a trombone spittoon. From there they proceeded to make captivating sounds with the instruments they brought, and even with the house glockenspiel, which I think Jeb mentioned he had never played/recorded with before. That's what was great about them; serious players creating heavy music with whimsical undertones, all in one take.
