Sometimes the stars align and we’re able to record a band that we’re interested in a lot sooner than expected... A sudden cancelation plus an unanticipated email from Secret Colours’ publicist enabled us to set something up with them a mere two days in advance (which in CHS-land is an absolute miracle). The band arrived with a giddy energy, having just played the biggest/most publicized show of their very short career the night before at Subterranean. They carried the energy from the night before into their session and blew through a set of hazy, post-Brit pop psychedelia, all in one take.
