 
NYC b/w Houston musician Josh Mease rolled up on a beautiful Friday afternoon for his session with us. We walked over to Safari Cup, got some iced caffeine, and headed back to the coach house to get a quick set in before his radio spot at Fearless Radio, followed by an opening slot at our Schubas show that night. Josh has some interesting connections out east; he shares a label (Frog Stand Records) with Clare & the Reasons (a sweet band who performs regularly with Van Dyke Parks) and spends his days doing odd jobs and giving music lessons to pass the time... Warm and breezy tunes by a nice guy, a perfect antidote to the biting fall air.
