The Deli Chicago featured In Tall Buildings back in December and I immediately emailed Quin, their drummer, about recording together. They were fun to record; Erik brought in my favorite guitar to come through the basement, a 1977 Fender Starcaster, and apparently the bassist for this evening, Matt Ulery, learned the songs the day before the recording but none of us could tell (they did each song in one take). Be sure to pick up their debut album which is being released by Whistler Records.
