JC Brooks brought a fusion of classic soul with a Stooges attitude and kind of a punk social conscience. Their execution was tight, their musicianship first rate, and they brought a level of energy usually reserved for a much larger audience. It was one of those sessions where it was hard to keep the camera sturdy because the grooves were so fresh and relentless. Keep a close eye on these guys; we’re lucky to have gotten them in before things get too big.
