Reverb, harmony, and a judicious coating of feedback. These are the things that are like catnip for Coach House Sounds, and Bare Mutants has plenty of all three. With their command of their sound, it's no wonder that their session was so much fun to produce. After realizing during load-in that Leslie is their organist and not the organ itself (how cool is that?), the band settled in to kick out some sparkling water-fueled jams to the nodding approval of everyone in the room. They came in, rocked out, laughed at a few of my dumb jokes (so important, future bands take note) and then bid us a fond farewell. Consummate professionals all around. This is another session that proves that if this is the sound for you, Chicago is the only place you need to be.
