 
08-07-09. Not a jumbled set of random numbers… That’s the date of the first email I sent to Disappears about doing a session with us. Brian was kind and responsive, but wasn’t able to schedule anything at the time. One thing I learned in my former life as a sales person is that if you’re reasonably persistent, pleasant, and have something decent to offer, then eventually the the party you’re reaching out to may agree to do what you’re offering. Fortunately for us that was the case with Disappears (pun intended). The timing couldn’t have been better. The band was in the middle of touring (read: on fire), just released their new record Guider on Kranky, and had thoroughly broken in their new drummer. Brian, Jonathan, Damon and Steve burned through four songs in what felt like a few minutes. Talk about a band that has their act together…
